How to set rules in the DDI Character Builder
Load your character or Create New if you haven’t created it yet.
Click on the Manage tab at the top.
Click on the Campaign Settings tab below that.
Check all the sources that we are allowing and uncheck all the sources we are not allowing.
Expand the Forgotten Realms Player’s Guide tree (click the little plus button to the left of the checkbox).
In the tree, uncheck Background, Language, and Pseudo Class.
Click the Save Character button on the left panel.
If you want to save these rules for multiple characters, you can click the Save Campaign button, and when you create a new character, just return to this screen and click the Load Campaign button to load all these rules into the currently loaded character.

Enabling Hybrid Classes
Navigate to the Campaign Settings panel as above.
Find Dragon Magazine 375. Make sure it is unchecked.
Expand the tree (click the little plus button to the left of the checkbox by Dragon Magazine 375).
Check Hybrid Class. Make sure everything else in that tree is unchecked.

Allowing the purchase of a crowbar
Navigate to the Campaign Settings panel as above.
Find Dragon Magazine 373. Make sure it is unchecked.
Expand the tree (click the little plus button to the left of the checkbox by Dragon Magazine 375).
Expand the “Gear” sub-tree.
Check Crowbar. Make sure everything else under “Dragon Magazine 373” is unchecked.

Adding House Rule 1
Wait until your character reaches level 5.
Click on the Build tab at the top.
Click on the Feat tab below that.
On the “Feat Choice Checklist”, click the little house-shaped button to grant your character an extra feat. “User Choice” should appear in the checklist.
Select “User Choice” in the checklist.
Select one of the Expertise feats under “Feat Choices” above the “Feat Choice Checklist”.
